Jonathan Waghorn

Before joining Guinness in 2013, Jonathan was a co-Portfolio Manager for an energy strategy at Investec, where he helped grow the energy franchise to a peak of nearly $3.5bn in 2011. Before this, he spent eight years as an energy equity analyst at Goldman Sachs in London, where he became co-head of the energy equity research team in 2000.

Earlier in his career, he worked at Wood Mackenzie in Edinburgh as an energy analyst, having started his career as a drilling engineer for Shell International, based in the Netherlands.

Jonathan graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Physics and has an MSc in Semiconductor Physics.
