In August, the Guinness Global Real Assets Fund returned -1.0% in USD, compared with -0.3% for the MSCI World Core Infrastructure Index. Relative performance was primarily affected by stock selection within Energy and Real Estate, partly offset by positive selection within Utilities. No portfolio changes were made during the month. The commentary discusses the next phase of investment in capital-intensive businesses and the relationship between satellite connectivity and telecommunications towers, alongside recent developments at portfolio companies.
