Responsibilities

Sam is Chief Financial Officer, holding primary responsibility for the financial affairs of Guinness Global Investors and Guinness Ventures.

Background

Before becoming CFO in 2023, Sam joined Guinness in November 2020 as Deputy CFO. Before this, Sam worked from 2017 as Group Financial Controller and Head of Financial Strategy and funds at Foresight Group. He worked from 2014 as financial planning and analysis manager at Evelyn Partners (formerly Tilney) and from 2012 as manager in the Group Planning and Analysis function at Barclays. In 2006, Sam started his career at Morgan Stanley on their Investment Banking graduate scheme.

Sam qualified as a Chartered Accountant with PwC in 2012 and has an MEng in Materials Science, Economics and Management from the University of Oxford.
