Guinness & Mahon is established in Dublin by Robert Rundell Guinness and John Ross Mahon

1851

Guinness & Mahon renamed Guinness, Mahon and Company

1980

Tim Guinness appointed head of Guinness, Mahon and Company’s asset management division

1987

Guinness Flight Global Asset Management is spun out, with Tim as joint CEO

1998

Guinness Flight Global Asset Management is sold to Investec

2003

Guinness Global Investors (as Guinness Asset Management Ltd) independently established by Tim Guinness

2007

Guinness Sustainable Energy Fund launched

2010

Guinness Ventures launched

2010-2017

Expansion of range of global, Asian and regional equity strategies

2022

Guinness Asset Management's long-only fund business takes the name Guinness Global Investors to reflect its product range, client base and outlook

2026

Global Dynamic Bond strategy launched. Expansion of range of sustainable and real assets strategies via acquisition of Foresight Capital Management, which includes WHEB fund range
